The art of the game is very nice and the character designs are also pretty cool. As the story progresses you get to know the spirits and their intentions and are able to relate to Liao’s difficulty in which of them to help (or if to even help at all, since Liao’s got his own life and wasn’t prepared to deal with greater powers). I found that to be a really nice touch and pretty interesting. There even is a glossary for all related terms you encounter in the game. What I personally liked is the story and the information you learn about the respective spirits, gods, places, rituals etc. The other two are a lot more down-to-earth and their romantic feelings for the protagonist are only revealed near the end of the game. The latter is a character who makes advances on Liao from the start and who has a cheerful personality. a fellow student who is possessed by the spirit of a leopard cat who asks him to work in the temple of his god.a clouded leopard spirit from an Aboriginal tribe who wants Liao to become the tribe’s oracle.the guardian of Liao’s family, a tiger, who wants Liao to return to his hometown.There are three beast men you can interact with as Liao: There also exists a Limited Version, however, which features adult content and which can be found on the game’s official website. And as it turned out, yes, the Steam version is pretty light on the BL stuff (as far as I can tell). Because the game was on Steam I thought it couldn’t be that explicit and the Steam reviews seemed to confirm that. Therefore, when I found Nekojishi on Steam, I thought I’d give it a try, since it’s free. I’m not a furry myself or much into furry visual novels in general, but I’d like to think of myself as pretty open-minded. And each of them has a request for Liao, now that his spiritual powers have accidentally awakened… The three entities he has to deal with from then on on a daily basis all appear to him as cat beasts (since he’s into furries).
